How you’ll make an impact


Manage and execute best in class customer focused marketing content programs that support business growth objectives for Xero’s key regions. Our marketing content strategy is designed to help accelerate our customers' confidence in choosing and using Xero.


Evolve our content delivery with strong project management and ensure we are winning with content aligned by segment, channel, and customer journey. Collaborate across the business to bring content concepts to life, streamline processes and measure impact to ensure continuous improvement. 

What you’ll do

  • Develop marketing content programs across the customer journey based on our target segments and business priorities
  • Own the delivery of a wide range of content types from brief to publication, such as technical guides, third party advertorials, gated guides for acquisition etc. 
  • Organise and align stakeholders across the business to ensure clear ownership, accountability and on-time delivery
  • Enable lifetime care for content
  • Manage budgets and external resources as part of campaign delivery
  • Leverage technology (including AI services), tools and data build a smart, scalable and fast content strategy across Xero teams
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to define and track what success looks like for all content campaigns. Leverage data to make informed decisions and iterate

  • The Northern/Southern hemisphere markets have a clear, compelling and effective content approach and strategy in place
  • Content is measured and reported on effectively to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Content production is efficient and connected through effective collaboration with key stakeholder groups
  • There is a spirit of continuous learning & improvement to progress our content strategy
  • Value perception of Xero increases to our customers and key metrics are met

  • Content strategy development and campaign execution
  • Creating integrated campaigns that progress customers in awareness, understanding and utilisation
  • Stakeholder management and influence
  • Leveraging customer data and insights to inform decisions 
  • Budget management 
  • Working cross functionally in a matrixed organisation 
  • Project management 
  • Briefing and working with writers and editors, including freelancers
  • Editorial and quality control for technical writing and SEO content
  • Highly organised and strong project management skills
  • Outstanding ability to plan and deliver on time and on budget
  • Data driven decision making 
  • An ability to connect high level strategies to actions
  • Strong understanding of plain English and technical content production
  • Excellent stakeholder management in a decentralised organisation 
  • Integrated marketing, communications and content experience
  • Critical thinking and strong judgement
  • Curiosity and an ability to pivot in a changing environment 
  • Excellent editorial skills and comfortable providing feedback
