About the role:
Octopart is a leading online search engine for electronic and industrial parts. We provide engineers, procurement professionals, and makers with a comprehensive database to discover and source electronic components. Our mission is to simplify the way people find and procure parts by making it easy to access accurate and up-to-date technical information.We are looking for an experienced and creative Content Marketing Manager to join our team at Octopart. As the Content Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in driving our content marketing strategy by overseeing the creation and distribution of blog content, YouTube videos, and other forms of digital content. You will also manage a team of content contractors and ensure a smooth content publishing pipeline.
A Day in The Life of a Content Marketing Manager:- Content Strategy: You will develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with Octopart's goals and audience interests.
- Blog Content Creation: Oversee the planning, creation, and publication of blog content that engages our audience and showcases our expertise in the electronics industry.
- YouTube Video Production: Manage the production and release of engaging YouTube videos that educate and inform our audience.
- Contractor Management: Supervise and collaborate with content contractors, including writers, videographers, and designers, to ensure the quality and consistency of content.
- Content Pipeline Creation: Maintain and organise content pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality content.
- SEO Optimisation: Collaborate with the SEO team to ensure that content is optimised for search engines and drives organic traffic.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor content performance, analyse metrics, and provide insights to optimise content marketing efforts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including marketing, product, and design, to align content initiatives with business objectives.
- Content Calendar Creation: Develop and manage a content calendar that aligns with marketing campaigns and industry events.
Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in content marketing, with a track record of successful content strategy and management.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple content initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in content creation tools and platforms, including CMS systems and video editing software.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging and informative content.
- Experience in managing and collaborating with content contractors and external contributors.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to make informed content decisions.
- Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and content marketing best practices.
