Content Marketing Specialist
Job Description
Alloy Automation (YC W20) is a no-code automation platform for ecommerce brands. The company has raised from firms like Bain Capital and BoxGroup, and the founders of unicorns like Webflow, Shippo, & Attentive.
As Alloy’s first content marketing hire, you'll have the opportunity to build a powerful content marketing engine. You’ll create direct revenue impact by writing quality content that ranks in search engines and resonates with ecommerce founders, operators, marketers or engineers. You should be excited about getting your hands dirty with SEO, creating your own content strategy, hitting deadlines you set, and adjusting your strategy based on the results you see.
- Ideate and execute content strategy for the Alloy blog, newsletter, social media channels, Alloy partner’s blogs, ebooks, and more.
- Build, implement, and constantly iterate on an SEO strategy, including keyword research, backlinking, technical SEO recommendations, and more.
- Produce high-quality content pieces (articles, blogs, guides, case studies, research pieces, videos, etc) that effectively reach, speak to, help and engage Alloy Automation’s Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs).
- Take a content idea and learn how to strategically distribute it across multiple channels to a target audience (especially via social media or a newsletter)
- Find ways to repurpose and engage others with past content initiatives
- Position our content strategy to work alongside other initiatives within Alloy like new product updates or events
- Collaborate with marketing, design, sales or engineering teams to help support their content needs or to get their help with executing yours
Requirements
- More than 1 year of hands-on experience in content marketing in a fast growing SaaS organization (a bonus if within the Shopify ecosystem).
- You have a passion for writing and English grammar. You’re excited to tell stories through quality long form or short form content that resonates with an audience.
- You're learning and interested in learning deeply about SEO and how you can drive organic traffic through your content.
- You’re no stranger to a self-motivated deadline. You’re able to create your own deadlines and always follow through.
- You learn best by doing. We move extremely fast, so sometimes you’ll learn what works by implementing and testing rather than deeply researching.
- You’re resourceful. We’re a small team which means if there’s no expert on the team, you’ll have to be in charge of your own learning in order to get a task done.
