Job Description:
The Content Marketing Specialist ("Specialist") is responsible for the overall operations of the Content Marketing team: creating, optimizing, publishing, and distributing written and video/multimedia content. A member of the Content Strategy & Activation team, part of the broader Brand Marketing team within Workhuman, the Specialist will focus on content generation and execution across Workhuman digital properties. The Specialist reports to the Content Marketing Manager and partners closely with SEO, organic social, and paid media teams to drive a holistic content strategy across the business.
Responsibilities• Keyword-driven blog content: Draft and edit keyword-based blogs, adhering to SEO outlines and creatively bringing short- and long-form blog content to life.• Video & multimedia content: Partner with video and organic social teams to produce and distribute video content across YouTube.• CMS maintenance: Publish new content across Contentful, optimize existing content, and communicate content updates to Content Strategy & Activation team, Global Marketing, and externally via HootSuite Amplify.• Content mapping: Maintain content repository in Asana, partnering with Demand Gen, ABM, and Customer Marketing on content visibility and recommendations for inclusion in campaigns.• Content performance analysis: Monitor performance of blog and video & multimedia content and assist in monthly and quarterly reports.
Skills & Competencies• BA in Marketing, Journalism, PR/Comms, English or related field• 1 - 2 years of relevant experience• Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as content performance analysis• SEO and social media proficiency• Superlative storytelling ability• Knowledge of content marketing technology: CMS, Asana, SEO tools, Google Analytics, QuickSight, etc.• Superior attention to detail and quality• Self-starter
