The Investor Services (InServ) Content Marketing Specialist will join a team of marketing professionals who love producing powerful thought leadership campaigns on a variety of financial services topics: ETFs, alternatives, securities lending, FX/markets, and financial technology and data services.
Reporting to the Global Head of Content Marketing (based in Boston) and working closely with the Senior Regional Content Lead (based in London), the Content Marketing Specialist will administer our global thought leadership program to ensure a regular cadence of high-quality thought leadership output, that allows our business teams to engage their target markets on key topics that drive to BBH's commercial solutions.
As a key part of our Content Discipline, this person will work closely with the marketing managers, relationship managers, product managers and subject matter experts globally to help maintain and execute on our global editorial calendar. This includes coordinating the distribution of our thought leadership through a variety of channels (digital social, print) as well as helping to generate content ideas, write, and edit compelling thought leadership pieces (in the form of blog posts, articles, videos, social media copy, and infographics). Competitive research, as well as performance measurement and analysis, will also be important to ensure we are positioning our thought leadership content effectively to create maximum impact with our target markets.
This is an exciting new role, supported by a broader marketing group which includes graphic designers, social media specialists, marketing compliance, and operational distribution functions.
Thought Leadership Production & Program Management:
- Help execute on the editorial strategy for InServ supporting the Head of Global Content Strategy and the Senior Regional Content Lead.
- Help design and rigorously employ standards, systems, and best practices for content creation, compliance, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing.
- Help coordinate and update the editorial calendar across the different campaigns and product areas, as well as our budget and project tracking tool, Allocadia
- Working with the wider team, help determine format and distribution method for each content piece to ensure maximum impact and facilitate the production and distribution of those pieces. Ensure consistent global experience and implement appropriate localization/translation strategies.
- Working with outside vendors and BBH Creative Services, support the production of video content.
- Working with Creative Services, source and edit high-quality, compelling images to accompany text-based stories.
- Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, point of purchase, mobile, video, print, and in-person.
- Develop practices to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement of content.
Idea Generation, Writing, Editing, Proofreading:
- Help conduct market and competitive research on hot topics that matter to our target audiences to help position our thought leadership content in the most compelling way.
- Work together with the marketing managers to generate ideas for new content and formats.
- Working with the marketing managers and business sponsors help translate ideas into a workable plan by completing content briefs to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on objective, outline, distribution formats and timeline for the piece/project.
- Support the Head of Global Content and the Senior Regional Content Lead by writing long and short form thought leadership pieces (dependent on writing experience)
- Help proofread and edit articles before publication to ensure the highest quality output
- Working with Marketing Operations, analyze performance metrics to measure success and continuous improvement.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- A demonstrated track record of exceptional writing, storytelling, and communicating.
- 2+ years' experience creating content as part of a news organization, agency, or in-house marketing/comms environment.
- Some financial industry marketing experience is also desirable, but more importantly, and an interest in financial macro themes and trends and ability to see the bigger picture.
- A deep desire for marketing excellence and high attention to detail
- Strong project management skills
- Must be able to manage multiple deliverables to tight deadlines.
- Strong initiative and proactivity are critical; must be able to work independently and as a member of a global team.
- Experience with content distribution and analytics platforms would be a plus.
