We are looking for a full-time and highly self-motivated professional to join our Content Marketing team as a Content Marketing Specialist. In this role, you will report to a senior member of the content team and be responsible for content strategy and creating content that answers questions and solves problems for the audiences that Appfire serves.
You will focus on content strategy and creation to support our content marketing goals, including support for our channel marketing, demand generation, product marketing, and SEO-driven programs. You’ll be creating a variety of short- and long-form content, which could include guides, e-books, blog articles, how-tos, checklists, web pages, videos, webinars, email nurtures, social media posts, and more!
Appfire’s solution areas include IT service management, Jira migration, workflow automation, Agile project management, knowledge management, and DevOps.
What You Will Do
- Research and write original pieces (including guides, articles, and e-books) to support Appfire’s content needs in different solution areas and verticals
- Repurpose existing Appfire content including videos, webinars, and articles into new content pieces, augmenting with additional research and information as necessary
- Write original content based on interviews with product marketing managers and subject matter experts across our global company
- Write nurture emails, promotional copy, and social posts for the valuable content pieces you’ll create
- Create, review, and improve content for technical and non-technical audiences, consistently applying Appfire’s voice and tone
- Write with attention to grammar, clarity, tone, and consistency
What We Would Like To See
- At least 4-5 years of experience creating written marketing content, ideally in a SaaS environment
- Experience creating content for one of our technical solution areas a plus
- Video creation and editing skills a plus but not required
- Basic understanding of SEO and how to optimize content to attract and grow traffic
- Experience in content strategy and planning, with an understanding of the customer journey and how content marketing supports business goals
- Determination to get the most value out of every content piece you create
- An interest in content performance and a desire to learn and continually optimize your content for better results
- Experience brainstorming and planning content ideas aligned to goalsExcellent written and oral communication skills in English, including spelling and grammar
- Demonstrated proficiency in content, through published works or samples of work
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate within the team and cross-functionally, actively participate in meetings and content planning sessions, and occasionally lead and present plans to the team
- Ability to receive and incorporate feedback from peers and leaders
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, and effectively make judgments in prioritizing and time allocation in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand and empathize with the audience, and provide the information most relevant to them
- Enthusiastic about gaining new technical knowledge
- Capable of performing effectively as part of a global team distributed across many time zones
- Ability to take information and insight from non-native English speakers and translate it into clear, accurate, user-friendly content
- Ability to exchange information with technical and non-technical individuals clearly and accurately
- Helpful, but not required: Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field
