Content Marketing Writer

What You'll Do
Cisco is in search of a content writer focused on our Firewall products/solutions for our security business unit, Cisco Secure.
As a part of the integrated campaigns team, you will be responsible for developing content to fuel key campaigns. You will work with product SMEs and a team of marketing managers, aligned to different strategic cybersecurity areas. A key part of this role will be content governance - ensuring that all content produced from the team looks and sounds like it's coming from "one voice." This will likely come through editorial oversight and team training.
The Cisco Secure integrated campaigns team sits as "the hub" for many different teams inside of Cisco Secure - product marketers, field marketers, performance marketers, and more. As such, another critical component of this role will be keeping in contact with these various stakeholders and keeping tabs on content needs and initiatives. This will also include working with the content team production manager to ensure our content tracker and content repository are up to date with all content currently in progress or completed across Cisco Secure.
- Content Writer with strong knowledge of cybersecurity and the ability to deliver content that drives brand elevation and generates demand.
- Keen understanding of thought leadership storytelling, as well as customer-facing materials based upon specific customer personas.
- Have an eagle eye for editing with a meticulous command of grammar and the English language.
- Ability to create long and short-form content ranging from blogs, reports, guides, web copy, email, and display ads on diverse topics for a variety of different audiences.
- Keep in regular contact with various stakeholders (SME's, product management, product marketing) to stay abreast of initiatives and launches
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, usability, and productivity.
- BA/BS degree 8+ years of journalistic writing experience in B2B content marketing
- Superb writing, communication and project management skills
- Ability to learn about new products, technology, and tools quickly.
- Bring knack for embracing change, finding opportunities, and taking initiative.
- Proactive thinker - someone who is always looking for areas where we can improve
