Content & Social Media Intern

Public.com is an investing platform that helps people become better investors. Members can build a diverse portfolio of stocks, ETFs, and crypto within a single platform.

What you’ll do:

In this 10 week internship, you will help push forward Public’s social presence, with a focus on short-form video content for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You will work closely with members of the brand and growth marketing team to concept, shoot, and edit compelling and topical videos that increase brand awareness of Public’s offerings among our target audience. The ideal candidate loves creating and consuming social content, has an understanding of best practices for social videos, and is comfortable working both collaboratively and independently. A typical day might consist of conducting a competitive audit, working with a copywriter and designer to storyboard content, or heading out to Washington Park to film an interview-style video. By the end of the internship, this candidate will have a portfolio of dozens of videos live on Public’s social channels, reaching an audience of tens of thousands.

This is a paid internship opportunity beginning in June and running into August. Dates to be confirmed based on your academic calendar. 

What we’re looking for:

• Demonstrated experience creating short-form content – this could be on your personal social channels or as part of previous work or internship experience
• Knowledge of social media trends – you’re up to date on the latest memes
• Ability to shoot and edit videos for social media
• Comfort appearing in front of the camera when needed
• Scrappy mindset and a healthy dose of hustle

The pay range for this position in NYC is $25 an hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location.
