Job Description

How you’ll make an impact:

We're looking for an experienced Content Specialist to develop a range of Marketing and Thought Leadership content to help fuel our Marketing engine. This role is responsible for developing engaging and informative content to help grow awareness about Strata’s products, services, and expertise, among both existing customers and prospects. The Content Specialist's success is measured through helping to engage, nurture, and retain existing customers, as well as aiding pipeline growth for new, prospective customers. The ideal candidate will have a marketing and publishing mindset, high attention to detail, creativity, and project management skills. As Strata's brand storyteller, the individual must be empathetic toward the pain points of our customers and prospects across the healthcare, higher education, and financial services industries.

In this role, you will:

  • Create content on an ongoing basis to engage and inform our customers, drive leads, and build awareness. Examples of the various types of content include articles, e-books, survey reports, case studies, solution briefs, video scripts, etc.
  • Propel marketing campaigns by helping to develop, edit, and refine content, including collateral, emails, ad copy, webpages, etc.
  • Support customer retention and cross-sales by providing informative content that is in tune with customer needs and industry trends.
  • Inform and influence Strata’s Marketing content calendar.
  • Optimize content for search engine optimization and lead generation.
  • Collaborate with fellow Marketing team members, as well as internal and external stakeholders to brainstorm ideas and develop consistent, high-quality content from ideation through production.
  • Conduct interviews, interpret data, partner with graphic designers, research the latest industry news and trends, and synthesize complex information in engaging and accessible language aimed at an executive-level audience.

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Content Development, Communications, Journalism, and/or Marketing.
  • Experience in healthcare, higher education, or financial services.
  • Experience in marketing for software, HealthTech, or FinTech is a plus.
  • Journalism experience is a plus.
  • Proven writing and editing skills, with a high level of comfort receiving and responding to feedback.
  • Experience with website content management systems is a plus.
  • A self-starter who is resourceful, able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and continually adapt to evolving projects and priorities.
  • Must have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

How we work:
The preferred location for this role is in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO. We value our people spending time together and have campuses hosting in-person events located in both cities. For a candidate who is a solid match for the skill set needed to be successful, we will support a fully remote work environment anywhere in the U.S. All team members, including those local to a campus have the flexibility to work from home.

Thinking about applying?
Research shows that women and underrepresented groups tend to apply to jobs only when they check every box on a job posting. If you’re currently reading this and hesitating to click “Apply” for that reason, we encourage you to go for it! A true passion and excitement for making an impact is just as important as work experience.
Should you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employee selection process, please reach out to [email protected].
