As a Publishing Specialist, Content you will be providing Research Topic publishing opportunities for the dynamically changing research communities. You will be driving the Research Topic from its launch to online publication, collaborating with other Specialists and Journal Manager.
This role will report to the Content Manager
As a Content Specialist, you will:
- Take charge of the entire life cycle of Research Topics from launch to online publication.
- Identify researchers as Topic Editors and collaborate with them to spot potential contributors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for leading researchers worldwide, building relationships to acquire quality content for the journals.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure an outstanding experience for editors and authors.
- Provide input on team-level objectives and key results,
- Conduct calls with external stakeholders and perform outreach in a cold-call style.
- Prioritize daily tasks effectively, aligning with specialists in other areas to achieve overall team targets.
About youÂ

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling you to build relationships with high-profile scholars and identify possible Research Topic contributorsÂ
-
Degree or higher with a keen interest in research disseminationÂ
-
Previous experience in a publisher/ in an academic environment with demonstrated project management skills is a strong assetÂ
-
Demonstrated experience in a commercial, customer-facing roleÂ
-
Confidence in an outward-facing role with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a confident telephone mannerÂ
-
Target-driven mindset, consistently meeting tight deadlines, and prioritizing workload under pressureÂ
-
Strong collaboration skills, working effectively as a team playerÂ
-
Strong administration skills and fluent proficiency with MS Office applications; knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM system is beneficialÂ
-
Ability to influence and negotiate effectivelyÂ
-
Adaptability and problem-solving skillsÂ
-
Ability to work independently and make thoughtful decisionsÂ
-
Excellent written and spoken English proficiencyÂ
Occasional travel to our London or Madrid offices may be required for team-building activities and important meetings.
