 What You’ll Do

The Content Strategist will support long-term growth of select ABG owned & operated brands through customer-centric content creation across all digital touchpoints. Translating brand identities into relatable narratives, you’ll craft the tone of voice for customer-facing campaigns to help enhance the customer experience & connections to each brand. Using data-backed keyword research, you’ll find trending opportunities to capitalize upon from a merchandising and/or marketing POV, and work to embed that language into product descriptions, feature shops, emails, SMS, social, and paid advertising initiatives to drive revenue for each brand.


What You’ll Be Working On

  • Manage & maintain customer-facing content & language on branded owned & operated sites, email, and advertising platforms. Evolve and articulate overall brand identities, tone of voice and dos/don’ts.
  • Help define seasonal go-to-market messaging in collaboration with Marketing, Merchandising & Brand teams.
  • Optimize category & product detail content & including descriptions, product features, and materials & care instructions.
  • Research keyword search trends in the market and collaborate with Merchandising team to create action plans on-site, email and paid advertising channels to leverage opportunities.
  • Develop & deliver website content audits and enhancement recommendations in partnership with Merchandising & Marketing teams.
  • Collaborate on website, email, SMS & advertising content calendars based on key calendar moments, product drops, and brand launches work with Merchandising & Marketing teams.
  • Create platform-, placement- and asset-specific copy for all paid advertising assets, inclusive of A/B testing programs. Socialize learnings with broader team for further ideation & iteration.
  • Develop & manage channel-specific content marketing plans in partnership with Merchandising, Marketing & external Agency teams, including full funnel search-driven content priorities, SEO requirements, and Paid Search keyword bidding.
  • Liaison between Merchandising, Marketing and Agency teams to develop keyword lists, must-win search battleground strategies, and linking strategies.
  • Define, measure & report on content KPIs with actionable insights and recommendations to drive increased performance.
  • Maintain Website Accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.0) through management of accessibility platform and act as point person for said vendor relationship.

Must Haves

  • 5-7 years of experience in copywriting, SEO, and/or content strategy.
  • 3+ years of experience writing and editing content for product descriptions & digital activations.
  • Stellar writing, editing, and communication skills, with creative knack for translating ideas in multiple brand voices and copy.
  • Experience with keyword trend research using Google Trends, SimilarWeb, Moz etc.
  • Experience planning and writing into A/B testing programs based on email, SMS and/or paid advertising platforms and iterating on learnings.
  • Familiar with SEO best practices and guidelines.
  • Experience partnering with Merchandising, Marketing, and Creative teams on email/SMS and advertising assets.
  • Solutions-oriented & proactive with impeccable attention to detail.

Primary Location Salary:$100,000 - $125,000
