The Team

Our Marketing team plays a pivotal role in evangelizing the subscription economy and sustaining Zuora’s rapid global growth. ZEO marketers are world-class storytellers and strategic campaign builders. WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE

Reporting to the Director of Content Strategy, this is a role that requires hands-on content & communications expertise. 

The ideal candidate is a content marketing professional with a strong writing background, excellent story-telling skills, and extensive experience within B2B Marketing organizations. You are an audience focused, and data-minded strategist – able to construct a content strategy with a measurement framework that connects to business results.  You will execute on our content strategy, helping craft and evangelize our mission of helping the world’s best companies succeed in the subscription economy. 

Partner with a team of audience marketers and product strategists in producing compelling content and messaging that supports brand awareness, industry thought leadership, customer advocacy, engagement, and retention goals across the company, while continuously identifying trends and opportunities to amplify the Zuora brand.  You will employ a heavy bias toward delivering a high-value content, messaging, and assets across owned, earned, and partnered media channels including press, blogs, videos, social media, eBooks, event keynotes, and more. 

Executive communications experience includes a must, as this is a highly visible leadership role that engages with all aspects of the business, including Finance, Product Management, Customer Success, Investor Relations, C-Suite Executives, and more.

YOUR ABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a strategic advisor to senior marketers, helping to clarify business objectives, define key messages, and differentiate Zuora.
  • Push Zuora brand & messaging to new levels of excellence and work with global, cross-functional teams to ensure its quality execution 
  • Emphasis on strategy, innovative storytelling, and delivering creative excellence.
  • Oversee, and manage the content marketing strategy for a business; Increase brand awareness and conversion rates.
  • Hands-on content & communications expert, with skills to build and develop a content strategy. 
  • Audience focused, and data-minded strategist - collect information about the different types of customer personas the business is targeting; perform extensive research and analysis on customer thoughts, and then devise content strategies to convert new and existing customers; Content creation, curation, planning, and research.  
  • Communications and content marketing professional with a strong writing background, excellent story-telling skills, and extensive experience developing content. B2B Marketing experience is a plus; however we welcome anyone with a strong portfolio and a proven track record of delivering high-quality content at scale.
  • Execute a global communications and editorial plans that map to brand, customer engagement, growth, retention, and account-based strategies
  • Connect company mission and vision into brand campaigns, content strategies, engaging event experiences, valuable customer assets, strategic communications, and high-performing web experiences that drive growth for the business.
  • Performing exhaustive research to gain in-depth knowledge of all customer personas
  • Performing extensive research and analysis on consumer thoughts and trends
  • Creating specifications and content appropriate for the brand's customer personas
  • Project management experience will be key to Improve content development processes and procedures, making them efficient and scalable
  • Define framework for content performance (KPIs & measurement system) and share insights gained to ensure we demonstrate the value of our evolving content marketing strategy.
  • Best-in-class standards for content quality across a range of formats e.g. written, visual, video, news, hybrid live/event-based content both on and offline
  • Passion for the market and opportunity Zuora is pursuing, challenges the status quo, and strives for the best customer experience
  • 5+ years of content & communications experience; preferably in the technology industry and/or SaaS
  • Fantastic critical thinking, agility, and attention to detail
  • Journalist or newsroom background is a plus.
