As a Content Strategy Manager within the Digital organization, you will focus on the content that defines the beginning of our customers' digital journey. The scope includes new experiences and capabilities for global product, informational, thought leadership, marketing, and e-commerce content as we work to consolidate them into a reimagined ThomsonReuters.com over the next few years. This is not a simple "lift and shift" of content but a fundamental rethinking of how we go to market and build out our self-serve informational experience online-core to the work will include creating simplified, replicable, and scalable story-driven content experiences.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Content Strategy Manager, you will:
- Refine the hierarchy of brand and product stories (Brand, Product Overviews, Features Details)
- Evaluate templates and analyze need gaps, then work with UX teams (Content Design, UX/UI Design, and Research) to enhance existing components or build net-new to fill gaps
- Co-develop, guide, and implement by-page strategy for higher level (top/middle of funnel) customer-facing pages by working with design, product marketing, and digital product teams to develop an iterative, story-driven experience that delivers the right information to the right audience at the right time.
- Work with cross-functional teams on content hierarchy for, and implementation of, additional page templates in the top-of-funnel roadmap (campaign templates, guided selling flows, category pages, etc.)
- Partner with product owners, UX/UI designers, product marketers, and customer researchers to help craft and guide content experience strategies; collaborate with marketing copy teams to guide and execute great copywriting aligned to the strategy
- Collaboratively interpret and analyze research using site audits, stakeholder interviews, site analytics, user testing, and other tools to identify key content strengths, gaps, and opportunities to drive an enhanced user experience
- Assess and organize website content; apply enterprise taxonomies; plan content with SEO and social media strategies in mind.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce content experience guidelines balance this with a spirit of innovation within the bounds of coherent user experience and brand standards
- Recommend key performance indicators to track results of online content and to recommend continued testing and improvement
About You
You're a fit for the role of Content Strategy Manager if your background includes:
- Strong digital content strategy and content development background required; bachelor's and/or master's degree preferred in a relevant field (such as communication, public relations, UX, HCI, marketing, interactive, business)
- 3+ years demonstrated effectiveness in a digital content strategy, digital content development, digital content marketing, or similar role
- Solid understanding of information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, sitemaps, journey and story mapping, taxonomies, and other essential content strategy methods
- Familiarity with basic user research principles and methodologies, including co-development of user research questionnaires
- Solid working knowledge of current/evolving SEO practices and processes, including how to create search-optimized content and metadata
- Solid working knowledge of digital UX concepts and design tools such as Figma and Lucid
- Experience with strong brands/brand identities and complex brand ecosystems. Experience with SaaS brands and/or brands in the business information services sector are a pig plus.
- Good understanding of web analytics and how to use insight from data and statistics including A/B testing
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
