About the Team :
The global Monetization Integrity team ensures TikTok users have a safe experience while viewing advertisements. We work closely with advertisers to create ad policies, manage content review processes, and more. As we continue to add advertising on TikTok, this team is critical in assuring a joyful and creative ads experience for the community.
We are actively looking for a Content Strategy Manager to be a founding member of this new team within RDI. The Content Strategy Manager will be responsible for forming processes related to external-facing global ad policy content as well as creating new ad policy-related initiatives that strive to increase internal operational efficiency and to proactively inform advertisers, media and government of thoughtful steps taken by TikTok to define and follow ad policy principles.
Responsibilities :
- Innovate! Be an open-minded and creative thinker with a growth mindset, eager to explore additional opportunities to inspire creativity and bring joy to our users through top quality written, visual, and media content (innovation might include reimagining the look and feel of ad policy images embedded in ad policy written content, or creating an objective criteria-based approach to decision making that was formerly ad-hoc as it relates to the question, "what criteria does a policy or policy update have to meet in order for it to be presented externally in written format"?)
- Lead Policy Content Strategy projects globally and/or regionally
- Develop a working understanding of global ad policy and ad policy lifecycle, in order to be able to write, evaluate, and iterate on ad policy content
- Integrate external ad policy content processes with existing internal ad policy iteration process
- Develop a strong strategic relationship with critical cross functional stakeholders that play a critical role in the development and improvement of global ad policy and ad policy initiatives
- Work collaboratively with team members, often asynchronously due to timezone differences, and execute with extremely effective communication skills
- Create and manage the process for content intake requests from Policy stakeholders and more, evaluating priorities and communicating expectations and timelines to content requestors
- Partner with Product Solutions (PSO) team in regards to global ad policy content on the Business Help Center, including but not limited to: content inventory, SEO improvement, technical platform requirements, ensuring that ad policy content meets BHC Style Guide standards and word count limitations
- Elevate TikTok's Business Help Center to be on par with or higher than industry standards by consistently working to ensure content completeness, accuracy and design continuity of external ad policy content by
- Prioritise creating new external ad policy content according to business priority, as informed by constantly changing world events
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or Master's in English, Journalism, Education, Social or Behavioural or Political Science, or equivalent
- At least 3+ years of work experience in content strategy, knowledge management, content creation, technical training, technical or creative writing, or TikTok ad moderation or equivalent experience
- Experience managing projects with multiple cross-functional stakeholders; strong project management skills with the ability to delegate tasks effectively for the purpose of meeting ambitious deadlines
- Ability to transform highly technical written content and present it in written form to a non-technical audience
- Dedication to utilizing candid and clear communication skills and to embracing diversity and inclusion as you work on projects with stakeholders globally
- Familiarity with content categorization, and the ability to make content organization decisions that prioritize a consumer's experience while also prioritizing internal operational efficiencies
- Familiarity with content governance lifecycle, and ability to recommend processes that solve for content sprawl, redundancy, inaccuracy, and inconsistency.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience being a founding member of a new team, and able to quickly adapt to changing business needs
- Excellent verbal communication in English
- Fluency in or working business knowledge of additional languages is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of current TikTok ad policies, awareness of ad policy iteration, or any TikTok ad policy knowledge is a strong advantage
