What will I be doing? 

As the Content Writer for Blueprint, your primary responsibility is to write, re-write and edit copy for web, sales collateral, e-mail, and other digital assets. No matter the stage in which the content is at, you’ll be ready to deliver copy excellence. You’ll research keywords and use SEO best practices. You’ll also work with various teams within Blueprint to effectively tell our stories, from clients to employees. This role will also be key in developing research for the marketing team, generating insights around what’s next in our clients’ industries and influencing the team’s strategic content calendar. You will also partner with marketing leadership, as well as subject matter experts in the business to research, define and execute content that drives interest, retention, and leads across our business lines.  

While much of our work involves technology, it will be crucial that you can understand technical concepts while also understanding its business impact on a company. Our audience is looking to better understand who we are and what we do, and we believe compelling storytelling is essential to helping others understand. We want someone who thinks creatively, dares to be different, develops content with the audience in mind, and can inspire people to become more familiar with our brand.  

Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Content generation in a variety of areas including website copy, case studies, white papers, press releases, campaign materials, sales collateral, video scripts, ads and more. 
  • Research and write perspective pieces for external publications 
  • Collaborate with marketing team, solutions delivery, and executives on creative projects—from conception to publication. 
  • Work with Blueprint subject matter experts to develop ideas, collect content, and ensure that Blueprint’s stories are told in a clear and compelling way. 
  • Distill complex, technical concepts into compelling and understandable material 
  • Quickly develop expertise in multiple topics related to Blueprint’s ever evolving practice areas and capabilities. 
  • Support the content marketing manager on a wide variety of marketing and content strategy initiatives. 
  • Support other functions like PR, social media and events as needed  

What skills are needed? 

  • 7+ years of digital marketing copywriting proven experience 
  • Strong track record of creating compelling content for different target demographics, preferably in a B2B environment. Tech experience is a plus. 
  • Excellent copy writing/editing, communication, and presentation skills 
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing and specific experience writing marketing copy for a B2B company across web and email channels  
  • High degree of initiative and independent judgment 
  • High sense of urgency  
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and technologies 
  • Eagerness to learn and have fun 
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or similar field
