Contingent Worker - Quality Assurance

I. WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

Triage test requests to determine the objective and requirements of the request

Communicate and collaborate with requesting party to develop effective strategy for the requested test

Develop test execution plan for the requested test

Environment and data setup

System execution and monitoring related to a specific testing effort

Provide support and guidance to test participants

Troubleshoot and resolve issues including escalation of unresolved issues

Provide test documentation and results for each completed effort

Communicate and collaborate with OCC Business, Technical and development teams as needed

Adhere to designated testing process and auditable control points

Complete projects and initiatives as assigned by management

Collaborate with team on best practices and issue resolution

II.SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

5-7 years’ hands on experience in manual testing environment and experience with both front/backend testing

Experience in developing test scope, test plans and test cases

Solid understanding of SDLC Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Broad knowledge of systems and application development technologies

Working knowledge of client/server concepts (i.e. java, JSP, Servlet, C++, HTML, Unix/Linux)

Working knowledge of relational database concepts

Proficiency in SQl usage including DB2, SQL Queries, SQL Server, and data manipulation)

Working knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows commands, files structure and administration

Familiarity with scheduling packages and operation (UC4, CA7, Autosys)

Familiarity with XML concepts and structures

Familiarity with real-time (MQ) and batch (SFTP) protocols

Mainframe TSO Navigation, basic file editing, job monitoring

Knowledge of GitHub and Jenkins

Knowledge of scripting with Cucumber – Nice to have

Unix/Linux scripting (i.e. Bash or Perl) – Nice to have
