Contingent Worker - REN Integration Testing

I. WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

This resource will transform data into business insight. The primary area of focus will be data collection and validation, and statistical analysis. The individual engaged will design, develop, test and support analytic solutions for various stakeholders and staff. In addition, they will be responsible for performing data quality reviews both pre and post implementations.

This project requires an analytically oriented person who has excellent communications skills and is comfortable providing services in a dynamic, multi-faceted, fast-paced setting for which planning, management, data analyses and interpretation of results are essential.

The individual will be expected to perform any/all of the following roles and responsibilities:

• Works in an Agile team throughout the Lifecycle to collaborate on the analysis, design, development & testing
• Actively participates in design/technical reviews to identify missing, incomplete or inaccurate design assumptions or design choices. 
• Assist in analyzing and querying multiple, complex databases and systems to produce data sets for external review and analysis.
• Following processes for data integration and data reconciliation.
• Develop and standardize metrics and dashboards that would identify trends and result in consistent measurements across all business functions.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement reporting solutions driven by business requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy and work with tech and BI teams to resolve data inconsistencies.
• Provide production support for maintenance and enhancements of dashboards.
• Assist with ad-hoc analytics and reporting.
• A fundamental understanding of Financial Risk and Risk based Systems.
• The ability to data-mine, organize, and comprehend complex risk domain data.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience with data analytics to effectively analyze complex Risk and Quantitative data.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate business/technical needs and develop creative test strategies/plans/cases.
• Desire to develop automation scripts by means of intensive functional knowledge and technical skills is a must have.
• Understanding of relational database models. Proficiency in SQL (DB2, SQL server; queries, data manipulation, reading data models)
• Experience in developing test scope and plans, project management, SDLC methodology
• Strong desire and capacity to learn and support new financial applications
• Highly collaborative – comfortable sharing ideas and asking questions with all levels of staff
• Ability to work both independently or on a team with tight timelines and minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills, written and oral, analytical abilities, sound judgment and time management skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients (users), management and staff.
• Ability to facilitate meetings and conversations
• Ability to write clear and concise documentation including technical specifications as well as business-oriented approaches and process descriptions
• Requires the ability to meet aggressive deadlines efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to work on multiple project tasks simultaneously.

II. SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 2-3 years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Reporting and Data Visualization.
• Expert level skills with SQL
• 2-3 Experience with python scripting.
• 2+ years of experience with SQL TSQL/PLSQL (any DB MSSQL, Oracle, Teradata)
• Proficient at writing optimized queries on large volume of data.
• Experience with analytics of complex quantitative and risk management data
• Ability to work across multiple platforms (IBM mainframe, UNIX, Linux)
• Trading and derivative industry experience preferred.
• Quantitative modeling knowledge is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related.
