The Position
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to be responsible for leading our Continuous Improvement program within our selected site. You will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager who sits at our Ohio facility.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who has at least 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. You should have an understanding of lean manufacturing principals. While this role will be primarily on days, you should have the ability to work across multiple shifts as needed. While not required, a background in manufacturing excellence, safety, and continuous improvement is highly desirable.
Additional Job Details:
- Ability to accurately assess business and operational metrics, through data analytics.
- Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training environments and learning tools.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities.
- Train and coach CI tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with cross functional groups on problem solving.
- Create and maintain standardized work documents.
- Facilitate plant Kaizen events.
- Perform time studies.
- Create and maintain labor cost standards.
- Evaluate business processes for improvement opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communications; and work-related instruction skills.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience in lean tools and structured problem solving.
- Proven track record of leading lean initiatives to achieve business results
- Ability to work across multiple shifts if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid background in manufacturing excellence
- Experience with a mixture of safety, continuous improvement and operations leadership
- Experience with Problem Solving/5S/TPM background
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
