Job Summary:
Ruggable is searching for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. We are looking for someone with previous CI experience, who is ready to skyrocket their career as we level-up our newest facility!Â
You will be responsible for leading continuous improvement projects and will be a "leader of change". The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with all levels within the organization, be able to question the status quo and be an excellent communicator. You will be responsible for managing and leading continuous improvement projects, launching new products as well as mentoring and coaching all lean processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodology in the implementation of manufacturing excellence initiatives
- Manage a portfolio of lean projects directed at reducing waste and improving quality to provide greater value; implements the lean toolkit including standard work, 5S, line balancing, SMED, VSM, DMS and Kaizen
- Train and lead cross-functional continuous improvement teams; focusing on measurable quality, delivery and cost goals
- Drive a continuous improvement program that focuses on reducing process waste, implementing standard work and reducing defects
- Design and build robust scalable processes for new productsÂ
- Conduct time studies to create a steady-state workflowÂ
- Train, coach and motivate personnel in the understanding and adoption of new principles and techniques
- Drive the standardization of processes and the implementation of metrics and best practices
- Assist in setting annual operational targets and help drive improvements to achieve those targets
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or engineering/supply chain equivalentÂ
- Demonstrated experience with Lean TechniquesÂ
- Experienced and knowledgeable in Lean Six Sigma (LSS), 5S, KPI, SMED, VSM, DMS and Kaizen
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to collect, work with, analyze and interpret data to drive key metrics
- Ability to be onsite in our facility, 5 days a week
Preferred:
- Conversational Spanish
- Lean Six Sigma green belt or equivalent
Compensation:
- An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
- Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
