C.H. Robinson is hiring for a Continuous Improvement Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing operational strategies that will help achieve organizational excellence. You will drive the execution of strategic initiatives through a Continuous Improvement framework with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. You should have experience in lean six sigma methodologies, strong change management capabilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously. This role follows a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Business Process Management (BPM) initiatives to maximize customer value, enhance operational efficiency, and increase throughput
  • Collaborate with the Analytics team to create or enhance operational performance reports for leadership and employee insights, performance monitoring, workload, and resource management
  • Promote an analytical culture to enhance decision-making and drive efficiency, quality, and profitability
  • Support the implementation of operational strategy in alignment with Global Finance and enterprise strategies
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging market conditions related to organizational effectiveness, Continuous Improvement, and enabling technologies
  • Act as a change agent when necessary for project implementation within the organization to ensure continued project success, including working with business partners for essential document management and communication
  • Oversee project delivery, including resource coordination, effective change management, risk identification and mitigation, process documentation, and stakeholder communication
  • Develop and execute ongoing Continuous Improvement training, coaching, and development while ensuring employees and leaders prioritize operational effectiveness
  • Identify and eliminate waste, friction, and operational inefficiencies while proactively assessing process effectiveness and efficiency
  • Manage relationships and communication among internal and external project management resources, stakeholders, and senior management
  • Identify and manage risks and mitigation plans, overseeing logistics and activities while maintaining essential document management and communication
  • Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned as required by the team and/or specific country requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in executing large, cross-functional initiatives
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using a continuous improvement framework within business operations, such as lean six sigma or similar
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience
  • Certification in lean, six sigma, and/or related methodologies
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and internationally)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in using business and data analytics to drive continuous improvement
  • Strong change management skills with a focus on team behavior change
  • Excellent planning and project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
  • Thrive in an ambiguous work environment with minimal supervision and the ability to make timely decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to the appropriate audience
