Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and evaluate existing workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis and Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate existing distribution center processes, workflows, and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement. Conduct time studies, data analysis, and process mapping to gain insights into current performance and areas for enhancement.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of process inefficiencies, errors, or bottlenecks. Collaborate with teams to develop and implement effective solutions that address the root causes and drive sustainable improvement.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and document standard operating procedures for various distribution center processes. Ensure SOPs are updated, communicated, and adhered to by relevant stakeholders.
  • Technology and Automation: Collaborate with IT and operations teams to identify opportunities for leveraging technology, automation, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in distribution center operations.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on continuous improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques. Share best practices and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring and Metrics: Establish performance metrics and targets aligned with distribution center goals. Monitor and track performance, provide regular reports, and communicate progress, achievements, and areas requiring attention to management and stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Support change management efforts by assisting in the development and implementation of change plans. Engage stakeholders, address concerns, and facilitate the adoption of new processes and practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management. Additional certifications in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) are desirable.
  • Experience in a distribution center or logistics environment, preferably with exposure to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and using tools such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization software to analyze and interpret operational data.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, and the ability to apply them to drive process improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes, propose effective solutions, and measure their impact.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, quality, and delivering results within defined timelines.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
