The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Manager Fulfillment Center Operations, we are looking for an Operations Manager, leading process change projects within the fulfillment center. You will manage project intake process for fulfillment center improvement, consistent with network Change Management process. You will also support operations with creative solutions and help remove barriers to projects, and escalate roadblocks. You will be hands-on in a startup operation and will build relationships with hourly associates, managers, carrier partners, vendors, other FC teams and different departments in the company. You will work on site in the Ontario Fulfillment Center.
Your Impact:
- Build the initial teams, establishing procedures, metrics and processes
- Lead a Continuous Improvement team, focusing on 5s.
- Continue to build the 5S and lean program and culture in the FC.
- Use the site Warehouse Management System (WMS) to improve perfect order fulfillment and provide operational insights to improve WMS effectiveness.
- Flex into operations management leading any FC departments to support gaps or business need.
What You Bring:
- B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent additional experience
- 4+ years of management experience in fulfillment center/warehouse operations; prefer retail/e-commerce and apparel experience
- Experience developing and managing 50+ employees.
- At least 3 years of management experience in Receiving, Inventory Control, or Order Fulfillment.
- Experience building or improving inventory management, order management, and warehouse management processes.
- Experience using Kaizens, process improvement
- Experience using 5S principles in a distribution environment.
