Job Description

Eaton's Fuel Motion Control Systems division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Technician on first shift to join our team. The LA facility has approximately 250 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets. The CI Technician is responsible for the primary functions as described below with minimal supervision.

This opportunity is offering a competitive pay range starting at $23.60 - $35.40 based on experience plus full benefits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste through implementation of Eaton Lean and CIF tools.
  • Actively participate in High Performance Work Team efforts including 8D and A3 corrective action teams, VSM activities, PFMEA teams, PROLaunch activities, etc.
  • Assist in documenting manufacturing processes and modification of Standard work.
  • Assist in the development of EHS processes and procedures.
  • Conduct layered process audits.
  • Work on projects as assigned.
  • Conduct BOM/router audits.
  • Assist in training employees to perform their job functions.
  • Assist in the creation of sub-assembly prints/sketches and visual controls to aid the manufacturing processes.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the Value Stream.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Kaizen Events.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles in order to be considered.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
