CONTRACT Accounting Coordinator

Overview
As a key member of the Gogo Business Aviation's Accounting team, the CONTRACT Accounting Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of Accounts Receivable for service and equipment revenue activity.
You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining solid working relationships with internal departments.

How will you make a difference?

• Manage all aspects of the Equipment invoicing process which includes:
• Process Sales Orders, Purchase Orders and Shipping Documents to generate invoice to end customer
• Handle Warranty Sales Credits and Invoices upon repair/exchange
• Review Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) documents to confirm equipment was received and post RMA credits
• Enter cash receipts in accounting systems
• Sort out customer credit card payments
• Ensure that customer AR balances are reconciled
• Oversee credit requests submitted by Inside Sales and ensure that the appropriate approvals have been obtained before posting
• SOX compliance and corporate governance for Equipment AR
• Reconcile Accounts Receivable sub-ledgers
• Assist with annual Financial and SOX audits
• Maintain working relationships with Sales, Tech Support, and Shipping departments to ensure accurate billing and quickly fix any errors
• Collaborate on accounting projects as needed by department

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience in A/R
• 1-3 years' experience working in an Accounting or Billing department
• This will be a 6-month contract to start with potential to be renewed

Required Experience, Skills and Talents

• Experience posting cash receipts and reconciling customer AR balances
• Has worked on month-end close processes
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Knowledge of the reconciliation process
• Ability to meet all required billing and month-end close deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with customers, management and other staff members

Preferred Experience, Skills and Talents

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics - NAV is preferred
• Skilled in A/R processing for manufacturing firms or telecommunications industry
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability
• Solid organizational skills
• Proactive, self-directed and ability to work well under pressure
• Capability to set priorities and successfully multi-task
