CONTRACT Airborne Platform Software Engineer-Application Development

As a Gogo Business Aviation CONTRACT Airborne Platform Software Engineer - Application Development you will be responsible for application and feature development for a new Xilinx, ARM based product Gogo is developing. This system is a new product that will leverage Gogo's existing and new Air-to-ground networks. You will be part of an experienced development team that integrates closely with other teams across the company.

How will you make a difference?

• Developing applications on Gogo's new Xilinx based products
• Create high and low-level design documentation
• Conduct design reviews and participate in code inspections
• Assist in development of automated unit tests
• Provide estimates for design and feature development
• Track project stories/tasks, provide status, and ensure stories/tasks are completed on schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 4-7 years of software development experience, in a Linux environment
• This will be a 6-month contract to start with the possibility of being extended

Required Skills, Experience and Talents

• Application development on Xilinx-based embedded products
• In-depth experience with Xilinx, specifically Zynq Ultrascale+
• Experience with Linux, specifically PetaLinuxYocto
• Strong debugging skills in an embedded environment
• Proficient with Python, BASH, and C

Preferred Skills, Experience and Talents

• Relevant software configuration management and tools skills using Git/GiHub
• Experience with the Agile software development methodology and SAFe framework.
• Has worked with networking applications development (routers, set top devices, telephony, VOIP, etc.)
• Skilled in troubleshooting network problems, such as interfaces, routes, iptables, etc.

53.94 - 67.43 USD Hourly
