Contract BI Developer/Technical Analyst

As a BI Developer, you will support Bungie’s technological transformation by helping the team transition to a modern, streamlined data stack, which will unlock new insights and capabilities across the studio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transferring production reporting to a new data warehousing solution, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and performance across platforms
• Collaborating with data owners and stakeholders to develop a migration roadmap and regularly communicating progress and challenges
• Ongoing acceptance testing with data owners and stakeholders as production reports are migrated
• Documenting discrepancies, performance/cost concerns, and other data issues, and following up on their resolution

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience authoring and publishing resources in Tableau
• Advanced SQL coding experience (Example skills below):
  - Deep understanding of join types, standard SQL functions, window functions, etc.
  - Complex date/time handling and manipulation
  - Working with nested complex types (arrays, structs, etc.)
  - Transformation and development of user-defined functions
  - Partition elimination and other methods of performance and cost optimization on large datasets
• Experience with data warehousing, data quality and monitoring best practices
• Experience with data visualization best practices

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

• Experience working with data orchestration tools such as Airflow
• Experience working with project management software like Jira or Asana
