Contract: Corporate Finance Analyst

This is an engagement through Upwork's Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork's business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.
Work/Project Scope:

• Work with Accounting to understand the driver of Balance Sheet accounts and their relationship with P&L and Cash Flow accounts
• Learn the existing Balance Sheet and Cash Flow model in Adaptive Planning and suggest improvements
• Balance Sheet and Cash Flow variance analysis and re-forecast
• Provide needed support during month-end close, i.e. report refresh, data reconciliation, etc.
• Assist with reporting and data gathering for the purpose of board meeting and quarterly earnings preparations
• Provide ad-hoc analytics support at the corporate level, and assist with driving operational improvements

Must Haves (Required Skills):

• Accounting and/or Corporate Finance background with a full understanding of the relationship between the three financial statements
• Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasting or general ledger entry experience. Understand accrual basis and cash basis
• Excel savvy and comfortable dealing with and manipulating large data sets (proficient in pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
• Strong attention to details and willingness to dig deep
• Prior experience with Adaptive Insights, Oracle is a major plus
