Campspot is home to all the valuable data park owners need to make good business decisions. Our customers are empowered to pull insightful reports to run day-to-day operations, analyze seasonal revenue, and view heat maps of a campground’s most popular sites.

Behind this powerful data is a highly motivated person, writing our report queries. In this role, your responsibilities will be a mix of writing SQL queries, refactoring legacy reporting to a data warehouse solution, and assisting with technical support issues as needed. There are modernization, cost-savings, and standardization opportunities with our reporting product. Campspot is looking to hire a person who can meet these challenges as our product grows and changes.

Job Duties

• Write SQL queries
• Refactor legacy reporting to a data warehouse solution
• Assist with technical support issues
• Interact with the product and development teams to support the enhancement of our product
• Modernize and standardize our reporting product

Qualifications - Core Skills

• 1+ year of experience in SQL
• 1+ year of experience with a programming language
• Working knowledge of version control systems such as Git
• Comfortable pairing with other developers to troubleshoot and knowledge-share, as well as writing documentation
• Required English Level: Basic to Intermediate. Ability to listen and receive instructions, with basic communication skills.

Qualifications - Nice To Have

• Javascript, Java, Kotlin, or Python programming experience
• Experience with MySQL and Snowflake databases
• Experience with a data modeling framework such as dbt
• Experience with a data orchestration framework such as Airflow

The hourly rate for this position is starting at $20 USD. Final rate is based on candidate experience and skill level.

This contract is anticipated to last 6 months.
