Overview of Role

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Contract Designer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a wide range of design projects, from high-level brand identity development to detailed UX design and merchandise development support. The ideal candidate will possess a versatile design skill set, capable of delivering creative solutions that enhance our marketing efforts, strengthen our brand presence, and improve our user experience across various digital and print platforms.


About Heretic 

Heretic Ventures is a San Francisco-based venture studio ideating and launching new businesses in the creator economy, including those that capitalize on AI/ML technology. Heretic is run by Managing Partner Mariam Naficy, who founded and built the pioneering internet companies Minted and Eve.com. Heretic is backed by household names in Silicon Valley (investors and entrepreneurs), who act as the studio’s advisors both in selecting and in advising companies.


Roles and Responsibilities

• Marketing and Brand Design

- Execute creative assets needed to support marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with goals and business objectives.

- Design compelling website updates, landing page experiences, email campaigns, print materials, and overall marketing campaigns to engage our audience and drive results.

- Lead the development of brand identity, including naming, visual identity, and style guides, to ensure consistency across all communication channels.


• UX Design

- Partner with UX consultants and product team to develop designs

- Maintain design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to ensure product consistency and scalability across platforms.


• Merchandising

- Review product images 

- Prepare product sample requests including pulling Pantone colors and doing other basic merchandise design


Qualifications


• Proven experience in marketing/brand design, and UX design

• Experience in visual merchandising and e-commerce is highly desirable but not required

• Extraordinary design taste and curiosity has a strong sense of style, culture, art, design, fashion, innovation, and technology.

• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in digital and print design, brand identity, and user interface design.

• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and projects.

• Creative thinker with an eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality design solutions.

• Adaptable and resourceful: Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, leveraging a resourceful mindset to navigate uncertainties. Exceptional time management skills, with a proven track record of meeting project deadlines and managing multiple timelines efficiently, ensuring successful project execution despite evolving requirements.
