Contract: Enterprise Collections Analyst

This is an engagement through Upwork's Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork's business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.
Work/Project Scope:

• Responsible for collection of all past due balances on assigned Enterprise client accounts, initiating appropriate contact via phone, e-mail, vendor portal, with appropriate follow up to ensure timely payment.
• Identify and research disputed items preventing or delaying payment, working with internal stakeholders as needed to reconcile accounts and to reduce overall delinquency
• Research and respond to client disputes and resolve timely by working with Billing counterpart
• Perform account reconciliations
• Maintain excellent customer service internally and externally
• Interface with the sales team on a regular basis regarding the status of high risk or problem accounts
• Monitor aging and speak to client payment trends
• Assist in maintaining departmental goals currently noted as DSO and other goals as deemed necessary by management
• Send and follow up on collection past due notices as necessary
• Complete vendor forms for potential or new clients
• Assist in audit requests as necessary
• Ad-hoc assignments as necessary

Must Haves (Required Skills):

• Intermediate MS Excel skills including pivot tables, V-Lookups, keyboard shortcuts, etc.
• 3+ years of relevant collections experience
• Accounts Receivable order to cash cycle experience
• Practical knowledge of GAAP accounting and principles
• Strong organizational skills reflecting the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly
• Sound decision-making and problem solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude and desire to contribute in a team environment
