Contract: iOS Mobile App Engineer

This is an engagement through Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork’s business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.

Work/Project Scope:

• Develop and maintain native mobile applications for the iOS platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend developers, to define app requirements and deliver high-quality, user-centric applications.
• Configure and manage developer environments, ensuring a streamlined and efficient development process.
• Optimize app performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance app development strategies.

Must Haves (Required Skills):

• Native App Development: Proficiency in developing native mobile applications for iOS platforms.
• iOS Development: Strong experience with Swift and Objective-C programming languages, Xcode, and familiarity with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
• Developer Environment Setup: Ability to configure and maintain developer environments, build systems, and CI/CD pipelines for efficient app development.
• API Integration: Experience with RESTful and third-party API integration.
