Contract IT Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: 

As a Senior Project Manager reporting to the Senior Manager - PMO, you will assume a dynamic role encompassing the following responsibilities. Directly lead the project management activities for a range of technology projects within the Corporate Web Applications function. Oversee development and implementation roadmaps of a variety of Technology projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. You will be entrusted with the vital task of managing the portfolio of projects under your purview, employing effective portfolio management practices to drive successful project outcomes. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager- PMO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success and efficiency of our organization's project management endeavors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Project Management:

• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of technology projects, ensuring that project goals and objectives are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Work with stakeholders to define and document business requirements.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.

Portfolio Management:

• Consolidate and document project plans into overarching project portfolios, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and goals.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews, assessing project status, risks, and overall health.
• Prioritize projects based on strategic objectives, resource availability, and business priorities.
• Implement and maintain project portfolio management processes.
• Regularly communicate with all stakeholders to ensure they are fully informed of progress and changes

Reporting:

• Prepare and deliver regular reports and dashboards, providing insights into project and portfolio health.
• Communicate key project milestones, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate with other program managers to ensure consistency and alignment across programs.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Degree or PMP certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a senior project manager, with a track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects.
• Able to solicit and document complex business requirements.
• Previous experience in managing a team of project managers preferred.
• Strong understanding of project portfolio management principles and methodologies
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in project management tools and software.
