Contract Machinist

Overview AC Manufacturingis seeking an experiencedContract Machinistto join our team in San Jose, CA. This is an onsite role ideal for a skilled professional with 3+ years of CNC machining experience, including 3-axis and 5-axis capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining processes and the ability to operate various types of machinery with precision. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components that meet strict specifications. Your expertise in programming and mechanical knowledge will be essential for ensuring efficiency and accuracy in our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities: • Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders • Perform quality checks using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) • Deburr parts and ensure all finished pieces meet required specifications • Troubleshoot and make adjustments during machining operations • Maintain equipment and a clean work environment • Follow safety procedures and production guidelines Qualifications: • Minimum3 years of experienceas a machinist • Proven experience operating3-axis and 5-axis CNC machinery • Ability todeburr partsto ensure smooth, finished components • Comfortablefloating across different machines and work areasas needed • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills • Must beself-sufficientand able to work with minimal supervision • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Work Schedule: • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM • Optional swing shift flexibility depending on workload Work Location: • Onsite at our facility inSan Jose, CA Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Evening shift • Monday to Friday • Morning shift Supplemental Pay: • Overtime pay Experience: • Machining: 3 years (Preferred) Shift availability: • Day Shift (Required) Ability to Commute: • San Jose, CA 95112 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • San Jose, CA 95112: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
