Your impact

You will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements including nondisclosure agreements, service contracts, SOWs, and other commercial contracts. In addition, you will provide day-to-day contracting advice to business team members, and use your smarts to design process improvements that make a difference in delivering legal services to the business. Strong organizational and process management skills are key.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as you will directly engage with individuals across the business, including business owners, as well as external partners. At-Bay values curious individuals who delight in new challenges are natural at working well with others regardless of level in the organization and have sound judgment even in the face of ambiguity. Flexibility and a sense of humor are a must. 

A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to easily switch gears, dive in with limited information and act with an appropriate sense of urgency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm or in-house legal department, with responsibility for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
