Contract Manager

What success looks like in this role:

Contract Preparation & Review:

• Reviews and prepares complex, specialized, and non-routine responses for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
• Analyzes significant or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, corporate policies, and business unit procedures.

Contract Management:

• Manages the contract change control process.
• Develops negotiation strategies and leads the negotiation team on complex contractual issues.

Regulatory Analysis:

• Analyzes new laws, regulations, and contract trends for potential impact on business unit goals and objectives.
• Functions as a domain expert on selected areas and issues.

Governance & Compliance:

• Ensures adherence to contractually required governance processes.
• Manages contractual agreements and related schedules.

Financial & Risk Management:

• Evaluates proposed contract services and pricing changes.
• Provides guidance to account management on contractual opportunities to improve revenue, profits, and risk exposure.

Client Relations & Dispute Resolution:

• Offers guidance to account leadership regarding contractual rights and obligations.
• Leads resolution of commercial and contractual disputes with clients.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related work experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years of experience.

Contract Management Expertise:

• Proven experience in contract management responsibilities, including the execution of complex contract terms.

Interpersonal & Professional Skills:

• Strong relationship-building skills with delivery, finance, account management teams, and client counterparts.

Industry Knowledge:

• Extensive experience with commercial activities, including business case development, company structures, and risk/reward assessment within the information technology outsourcing industry.
