Contract Manager

Uptempo is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Manager to join our legal team.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency accuracy and compliance of our contract lifecycle management processes. Reporting directly to the General Counsel the Contract Manager will support drafting reviewing and managing a wide array of contracts including customer agreements vendor contracts and NDAs. The Contract Manager will also support in special projects and related administrative tasks.

We are a fully remote organization with team members working in North America and Europe. For our global team to work together we need to have a degree of flexibility in work schedules. This means that if you’re on the west-coast you may see the occasional 7am meeting on your calendar and vis a versa.

What You'll Do:

• Contract Management: Oversee the contract lifecycle from initial drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal using our Contract Lifecycle Management tool Ironclad.

• Drafting & Reviewing: Prepare and review various types of contracts ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including Sales Procurement and Operations to address contractual needs and resolve related queries.

• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks in contracts and recommend strategies to minimize exposure.

• Record Keeping: Maintain an organized repository of contracts ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates in the contract management system.

• Process Improvement: Develop and refine contract management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Legal Support: Assist the General Counsel with other legal and compliance matters as needed.

Skills & Experience We're Excited About:

• Bachelor’s degree in business Legal Studies or a related field.

• 4+ years of office administration or similar role.

• 2+ years of experience in contract management preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.

• Strong understanding of contract law and commercial agreements.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

• Experience working with SaaS agreements data protection clauses and software licensing terms.

• Paralegal certification or legal background.

• Familiarity with international contracts and cross-border legal considerations.

• Experience with privacy and data security considerations.
