This is an engagement through Upwork's Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork's business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.
Work/Project Scope:
- Conduct regular planning and scoping sessions with internal and external stakeholders
- Queue up new projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all new projects are launched within SLAs (includes pre-sourcing/screening of talent, setting up new platform accounts, reporting, etc)
- Drive the Hiring/Onboarding of workers on the project, leveraging cross-functional teams as necessary; set up the workers' contracts; provide access to project-specific tools and systems.
- Lead all client kickoff processes and align on goals & objectives; following launch will lead recurring [weekly/monthly/quarterly] calls with Upwork and client representatives to discuss project updates and action items.
- Set up and maintain project trackers: work breakdown trackers, project spend burndown tracker, PO longevity (forecasting)
- Monitor the workers' contracts and time logged on the Upwork platform as well as the dashboards for the systems in which the workers are completing the work
- Closely QA the workers' deliverables as they complete their projects, also monitoring turn-around times
- Ensure issues and feedback raised over the course of the project are reported and acted on in a timely manner.
Must Haves (Required Skills):
- Demonstrated experience with project launches or implementations, preferably in the outsourced staffing industry.
- Financial modeling related to costs and revenue of resources to determine budgets for projects
- High level of business acumen (role will be client-facing)
- Hands-on experience developing methods for measuring success for hiring, training, and managing large teams
- Experience working with cross-functional, distributed teams
- A high level of business acumen, as you will be communicating frequently with clients and talent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including informative, well-organized presentations
- Strategic thinking, balancing a broad range of internal and external factors when identifying problems, proposing solutions, and making decisions
- Leadership skills: motivating a team to perform to the best of their abilities to achieve shared goals of the team
- Analytical skills: able to decompose complex problems into manageable components.
