Qualifications
ASSESSMENT FACTORS
1. Guides and shapes procurement strategies and contract execution.
2. Provides advice and guidance to peer and junior contracting personnel, organizational stakeholders, and leadership to produce accurate and complete, complex contracting documents.
3. Executes total responsibility for all assigned contracts.
4. Serves as a trusted business advisor to customer leadership to develop tailored procurement support.
5. Makes decisions and recommendations clearly linked to the organization’s finance and acquisition or strategy, engagement and evaluation strategy.
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS
1. Currently possesses or previously held a Contracting Officer's Warrant above the simplified acquisition threshold.
2. Demonstrates experience leading a complex source selection.
3. Experience with multiple contract types.
This position is considered an Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Accordingly, the position's occupant must be certified with the appropriate DAWIA certification based on mission requirements for the position. If the selectee does not currently possess the required DAWIA certification upon entry into the position, selectee will be given 36 months to achieve certification. This position requires DAWIA Contracting Professional Certification.

Additional information
DIA positions are Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) positions in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. All applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of application. Applicants must meet the agency’s conditions of employment, to include, but not limited to, satisfactory completion of an initial special background investigation and periodic reinvestigation, completion of any required medical examination and physical requirements, completion of any required personal interviews, favorable completion of any required initial or aperiodic polygraph examinations, completion of any required drug test, satisfactory completion of a two-year Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System trial period, and completion of a civilian mobility agreement. All employees are required to sign an agreement not to disclose, in any fashion, classified information to unauthorized persons. All civilian employees are required to participate in the DoD Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer of Pay (DD/EFT) Program.
