Do you enjoy reviewing, negotiating and managing US and foreign sales and vendor contracts?

As a Contract Specialist, you will liaise between Renaissance legal counsel and both customers and internal partners to ensure compliance and mitigate company risk while meeting the needs of customers. You will also work collaboratively with internal team members (i.e. Finance, Privacy, Technology, and Proposals) to support the contract process and lead workload cross-functionally to meet customer needs and timelines.

Crucial Functions and Responsibilities:

• Reviews and negotiates data privacy agreements in close partnership with Director of Information Security and Corporate Counsel & Data Protection Officer.
• Work with Proposals to review bids, confer with internal partners, and draft exceptions.
• Negotiates Terms and Conditions with customers based on established company risk tolerance protocols.
• Identifies potential challenges while thinking strategically and crafting solutions to ensure contract compliance, resulting in customer happiness.
• Minimal direction for many matters, with latitude for independent judgment. May assist less-experienced team members.
• Maintains contract strategy playbook in close consultation with legal department to ease sales friction and expedite sales and vendor agreements.
• Contributes to the development of a companywide contract management tool in partnership with legal department to achieve contract efficiencies, compliance tracking, and company transparency.
• Works in concert with Finance and Accounting to ensure that invoicing and payments are being made consistent with agreed upon contract terms.
• Manages department email inbox with colleagues in the Contracts team by reviewing and assigning all incoming contract requests to a Contract Specialist for completion by deadline.

Education & Experience

• Minimum of five years experience in contract negotiation
• Proficient with MS office applications, preferable if have Salesforce and Ironclad proficiency

Salary Range: $68,000 - $93,500. This range is based on national market data and may vary by experience and location.
