CONTRACT SPECIALIST, NF-03/RFT, MCCS NAF REGIONAL PROCUREMENT OFFICE, CAMP FOSTER

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

BACHELOR'S DEGREE from an accredited college or university in contracting or acquisition planning or a related field appropriate to work of the position, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR THREE YEARS of practical experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  

1. Must demonstrate knowledge of the organizations, program objectives, technical requirements of assigned commodities or services, business practices and sources of supply.  

2. Knowledge and experience of a limited range of contract types, required clauses, and special provisions to carry out procurement actions.  

3. Knowledge and experience of the procurement process, the activity's procurement needs, market sources, and related business practices, operations, and structures to identify contractual opportunities for small and disadvantaged businesses.

4. Knowledge of procurement statutes, Executive Orders, policies and regulations.
 
5. Must have the ability to successfully complete required training.
