Job Summary
Links Global seeks a dedicated and experienced Contracting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in managing and overseeing federal government contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering positive relationships with contractors. The position requires a strong understanding of federal contracting processes, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Responsibilities
Contract Management
- Manage the full life cycle of federal government contracts, from pre-award through closeout.
- Review and interpret contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance.
- Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and milestones.
Negotiation and Modification
- Assist in contract negotiations and modifications as needed.
- Work closely with contractors to address changes in scope, pricing, and other contract terms.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other relevant federal regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in federal contracting policies and guidelines.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate contract-related risks.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address contractual issues.
Vendor and Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Address inquiries, provide clarification on contract terms, and resolve issues promptly.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of contract-related activities.
- Generate reports on contract status, performance, and compliance.
Contract Closeout
- Manage the contract closeout process, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Coordinate with finance and other departments to facilitate a smooth closeout process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Contract Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in federal government contracting and contract management.
- In-depth knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal contracting processes.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in federal contracting (e.g., FAC-C or DAWIA).
- Familiarity with government contract management systems and tools.
- Experience with various contract types, including fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, and IDIQ.
- Understanding of small business contracting programs.
