Contractor, IT Systems Specialist

This is for a temporary role for a duration of 6 months.  This position is onsite and based in our San Diego Office location. 

Summary:

Provide day-to-day, end to end process and technical support for Senior Executives, their Administrative Assistants, VIP user teams and employees across all Gossamer Bio sites. This role requires a very high level of technical proficiency and requires an individual with executive presence, a high level of professionalism and strong communication skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide full lifecycle ownership of applications and IT capabilities supporting standard Information Technology infrastructures. This includes scoping and implementing new systems, maintaining existing systems, and making retirement/replacement recommendations.
• Has a thorough understanding of the business functions and business processes and how they are enabled by IT.
• Partners with business and IT teams to identify and resolve system problems and identify potential system and process improvements.
• Leads business analysis, requirements gathering, and process mapping efforts in support of new capability delivery. Develops system requirements, process flow diagrams, and business cases.
• Evaluates vendors and solutions to address business requirements. Participates in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and the development of statements of work.
• Provides operational support for production systems, including end-user support, account management, configuration management, and change management.
• Perform hands-on solution design, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, and process design and development tasks as required in support of current and new projects.
• Contributor in developing the IT roadmap.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7+ years’ experience with a medium to large enterprise.
• Previous experience in a SOX regulated work environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 Tenant Administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune/Endpoint Manager and Azure Active Directory User, Groups and GPO) and Azure Cloud Service.
• Networking knowledge and experience with TCP/IP Routing, and subnetting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide Windows 10 device support
• Experience with Meraki Firewall / Wireless Administration, Microsoft DHCP & DNS Administration
• ITIL service management experience a Plus
