Contractor Linguistic Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description

We are part of Allegro. As a Linguistic Quality Assurance Specialist you will be involved in the Translation Quality Assurance (TQA) program enabling the expansion of Allegro.pl services into new markets.

We are looking for people with:

• Native or C2 knowledge of English

• Polish C2 level

• Experience using CAT Tools

• At least 2 years translation experience

The following are also a plus:

• Degree in Linguistics/Translation/Localization or related fields

• Ability to use metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes

• Experience with python scripting and text processing libraries

• Basic knowledge of regular expressions

• Ability to invent and simplify to enhance and expand use of existing tools, evaluating new tools and technologies for future development

In your daily work you will handle the following tasks:

• Translation, proofreading and status update of translated projects

• Ensuring translation consistency in accordance with the language-specific guidelines

• Preparing and updating common guidelines and recommendations

• Performing translation quality assessment

• Writing translation or annotation quality report

• MTEV - Error verification and glossary creation

• Meeting with agency to provide feedback based on quality report

• Consulting on quality control tools and machine learning systems development

• Collecting requirements to prepare recommendations for the LQA team for category specific translations

• Gathering internal know-how to improve the quality of provisioned services
