Job Description

Team Rubicon International (TRI) is seeking a Contractor, People Operations Generalist. The Contractor will support the growth of TR's International team through recruitment efforts, payroll, and ensure legal compliance with applicable state, and federal laws. This contractor will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting, ensuring timely and accurate pay roll and benefits administration, while maintaining accurate personnel files.  

Every day will be a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities for an organization that is quickly becoming a household name in disaster response. This position reports to TR’s Deputy Director, Talent Management and is based out of TR’s Los Angeles, California Headquarters.  

Position: Contractor, People Ops Generalist

Contract Duration: 6 months

Duties:

  • Process exempt and non-exempt payroll and associated reporting.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring applicable federal, state, and international requirements.
  • Administer health benefits and manage communication of relevant information and updates to enrolled employee.
  • Oversee the maintenance of HRIS, payroll, and benefits (Namely) employer portals.
  • Full-cycle recruiting, including full-time employees, contractors, and leased employees to include sourcing top talent, working collaboratively with hiring managers, screening candidates and offer negotiation.

Experience and Background:

  • 1-2 years of general Human Resources (HR) experience
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of Human Resource Management Core Principles, to include:
    • Payroll Administration (multi-state)
    • Benefits Administration
    • Compensation and Wage Structure
    • Employment Law
    • Full-Cycle Recruiting

Requirements: 

  • This is a full-time, hybrid in-office role based out of Los Angeles, CA and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)

Job Type:

  • Contingent, hourly; non-exempt

Pay Rate:

  • $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
