Contracts Manager

Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities. The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing the review, execution, and administration of a wide variety of contracts in the aerospace industry. The position collaborates closely with a motivated team of contracts attorneys and legal professionals, program leadership, functional personnel, suppliers, and customers in a dynamic environment to address a wide range of contractual tasks at all phases of the acquisition and program lifecycle.

• Review and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, partners, and customers
• Ensure that contracts are legally binding and enforceable
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as legal, supply chain, compliance, and finance, to ensure that contracts align with company policies and procedures
• Identify business needs for contracts and assess contractual risk, both independently and collaboratively
• Manage contract changes and amendments
• Monitor contract performance and ensure that all parties are meeting their obligations
• Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, partners, and customers
• Work with contract management software to ensure effective contracting processes
• Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices for contract management
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree level within legal, commercial or technical field or similar professional qualification
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in contract negotiation, review, management, and administration (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
• Committed to proactive communication and follow up with colleagues and collaborators
• Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality eager to learn and adapt in a dynamic business and compliance environment
• Familiarity with various agreement types, such as those relating to confidentiality, purchasing, sales, supply, software licensing, collaboration, research and development, and manufacturing
• Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations and standard processes
• Ability to identify and accurately evaluate legal and business risks
• Ability to independently synthesize a wide variety of information about the company and its operations to advise risk assessment and decision-making
• Ability to recommend legal strategy in support of business needs
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to recognize when collaboration with or input from others is necessary
• High attention to detail, and organizational and coordination skills
• Able to self-manage a significant contract volume in a dynamic business and compliance environment

• Legal background preferred
