The Role

Reporting to the VP of Finance and Sales Operations, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for providing end-to-end contract support for the Company. You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of agreements (customer contracts, distribution agreements, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, vendor agreements among other types of contracts).

The role will be based on-site in Redwood City.

Responsibilities and Goals

• Craft, evaluate, negotiate and execute a wide variety of contracts covering a range of customer, vendor and commercial transactions.
• Create and maintain relationships with suppliers and serve as the singular point of contact for matters concerning contracts.
• Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in Evisort Contracts System.
• Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.
• Monitor contract terms, milestones and significant dates and proactively determine course of action with respect to close-out, extension or renewal activities in accordance with what is in Seer’s best interest.
• Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.
• Answer questions from internal stakeholders and external customers regarding our standard contracts and T&Cs.

Background & Qualifications:

• BA/BS in business administration, law, finance or a related degree
• Paralegal training preferred
• 8+ years of contracts experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts in a professional environment
• Experience with Evisort is a plus
• Life Science industry experience is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

At Seer, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range based on market data. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,000 and $170,000 and will depend on the candidates education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for bonus, benefits, and participation in Company’s equity plan.
