Contracts Manager / Counsel
Job Description
Summary
The Contracts Manager/Counsel oversees all contracting aspects of our business. You will safeguard our reputation by guaranteeing that the company strictly follows legal guidelines, and give legal advice to management about all relevant issues.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights
- Communicate and negotiate with internal stakeholders and external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.) alike, creating relations of trust
- Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
- Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
- Organization skills handling updating online terms and conditions, contract templates, handling contact filing and management
- Give accurate and timely advice on a variety of contract topics
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
- Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible contractual issues
- Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility
- Working knowledge of data privacy and issues surrounding technology agreements
- If hired into Contracts Counsel role, it is desirable that you have an interest in expanding into other legal functional areas as well.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as
- Legal Counsel with 1-2 years of experience
- Contracts Manager with 3-5 years experience
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of contracting including but not limited to contract management, negotiation, drafting and interpretation
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity
- Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information
- Outstanding communication skills
- Minimum Education
- Bachelors degree for Contracts Manager
- J.D. degree for Contracts Counsel
- If hired into Contracts Counsel, must demonstrate current licensure.
