Contracts Paralegal  

Position Summary: 

As a critical member of Legal team, the Contracts Paralegal will support the administration of Erasca’s contract request and approval process. The successful candidate will be positive, detail-oriented, and able to work proactively and independently.  This is an excellent opportunity to work in an innovative, fast-paced, and collaborative environment to make a difference for patients with cancer. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and file a high volume of contracts.  
  • Communicate with internal business partners regarding the risks presented by contract terms and possible strategies to mitigate such risk. 
  • Assist in determining the necessary approach to contracts and ensuring protection of the company’s proprietary technology. 
  • Use a wide range of legal or specialized knowledge to provide legal support services in an efficient and timely manner. 
  • Exercise good judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. 
  • Use initiative and discretion in accomplishing routine assignments with minimal supervision. 
  • Research legal issues and engage in fact gathering and checking to provide support on all assigned legal matters. 
  • Perform all duties in keeping with the Company’s core values, policies and all applicable regulations. 

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Paralegal certificate preferred. 
  • At least 7-10 years paralegal experience, including at least 2 years in a corporate setting. 
  • Experience working in the Legal department of a life science company highly preferred. 
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage and drive projects and tasks with excellent attention to detail. 
  • High level of integrity and honesty. 
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion. 
  • Effective planning, problem solving, analytical, and administrative skills. 
  • Ability to interact in a collaborative manner and at a professional level with clients at all levels throughout the organization. 
  • Ability to think creatively and work in a team environment. 
  • In-depth computer proficiency skills in MS Office suite. 
  • Strong learning orientation, curiosity, and commitment to science and patients. 

The anticipated salary range for this position is $52.80 to $64.90 per hour. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etcetera. In addition to base salary, the hired applicant will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and an equity grant at hire and annually in the form of the option to purchase stock in the future for a specified price.
