Axogen is hiring for a Contracts Paralegal in Tampa, FL!

Job Summary of the Contracts Paralegal

The Contracts Paralegal position is a hub of the Legal department at Axogen. This position will gain exposure to the breadth of responsibilities in the Axogen legal environment. This position will also allow you the opportunity to manage the contracts and assist the in-house attorneys with their review.  Responsible for providing research, analyze and review data privacy and protection regulations, guidelines and standards to support organizational data governance council and committee needs, support to the Legal Department, including, Associate and/or Assistant General Counsels, and the General Counsel. Accountable for contracts administration and support/maintenance of various governmental agencies requirements.

Requirements of the Contracts Paralegal

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies and/or Paralegal certificate required - med device, life sciences, or bio tech experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in contract drafting and administration.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of various commercial terms and conditions, including legal and commercial implications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication with a proven track record of building relationships and interacting with leaders and external customers

Responsibilities of the Contracts Paralegal

The specific duties of the Contracts Paralegal include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains and administers the company’s contract templates and completion of forms.
  • Partners cross-functionally to support the development of contracting approaches for different business strategies
  • Maintains a knowledge base of key laws, legal processes and/or systems, and industry practices applicable to business / commercial contracts administration
  • Reviews and independently edits basic contracts and templates
  • Develop and lead the process of retroactive agreement transfer from legacy systems to new platform technology and create SOP and work instructions
  • Reviews and revises legal and compliance policies and procedures through Quality System including drafting of new policies, revisions, and training materials
  • Research, analyze and review data privacy and protection regulations, guidelines, and standards to support organizational data governance council and committee needs 
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop LMS content and training material to ensure stakeholders are trained in required legal, compliance and document management best practices
  • Manages third party risk assessment as part of contracting and develop automation workflows that provide efficient effective, compliant screenings for procurement
  • Participates in continuous improvement through special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

This position is eligible for an annual bonus. Salary Range
$70,040—$87,550 USD

Axogen is on a hybrid work schedule for some of our positions based out of our headquarters in Florida, with 3 days in office and 2 days remote. The hybrid work schedule does not include sales or facilities in Ohio or Texas.

Axogen follows healthcare system guidelines with respect to credentialing, vaccinations and other employment/compliance related requirements, as well as CDC guidance. Axogen reserves the right to amend its policies from time to time in its sole discretion.
