Summary/Overview:
Credit Policy is responsible for independent oversight of methodologies, rating definitions and the policies and procedures that govern the rating process. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of regulatorily required records and data. The team member will be working in collaboration with the analytical, data and technology teams, in addition to the other control functions at KBRA, to develop processes to support the analytical teams and improve efficiency and accuracy of records related to the rating process. This could involve novel solutions that employ SQL, advanced Excel and/or Python. This individual will also help create customized reporting and training materials.
The candidate must take ownership of their responsibilities and be proactive in advocating solutions and process improvement. The candidate must have effective communication and organizational skills while being proactive in learning about KBRA’s policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
- Recording and maintaining documentation of firm adherence to policies and procedures
- Supporting credit ratings teams in interpretation and use of the firm’s policies and procedures
- Supporting the firm’s regulatory reporting effort
- Supporting the Quantitative Risk Management function
- Data collection
- Collaborating with the Compliance and Legal Departments
Key Job Qualifications:
- Proficient with MS Excel skills, with capability to manage/manipulate data for various ad hoc assignments, reports, projects, etc.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, VBA or R
- Experience with fixed income and credit markets
- Team player that possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, but can also work independently
- Multi-tasker with strong organizational and efficiency skills
- High attention to detail, with ability to act with urgency and accuracy
- 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry; modeling experience or quantitative/statistical analysis experience
Preferred Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or Economics preferred; Master’s degree in Finance (Science, Statistics or Engineering skills are highly transferable for this role)
Salary Range:
The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 to $75,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
